Job Description

The Government & Policy Affairs Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing the political contributions program for the organization and its subsidiaries. This position is hybrid and will require regular collaboration with teams in Washington, DC, and other offices. The director will lead marketing, communications, event planning, compliance, membership development, and political programming efforts for the company's Political Action Committee (PAC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow PAC membership and contributions, fostering a community of engaged PAC members.
  • Develop and execute contribution strategies for federal candidates, in collaboration with the Government & Policy Affairs team.
  • Manage state political contribution strategies and ensure compliance in key states.
  • Maintain compliance with all campaign contribution laws and regulations, particularly Federal Election Commission (FEC) rules.
  • Report regularly to the PAC Board and senior leadership on operations, performance, and strategic insights.
  • Support the advocacy function by representing the company before lawmakers, regulators, and trade associations.
  • Provide public policy insights and educational support on key issues, including tax policy, retirement security, and financial services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, particularly in managing PACs for large companies or trade associations.
  • Expertise in compliance, fundraising, event planning, and communications related to political contributions.
  • Strong writing, public speaking, and communication skills.
  • Experience in marketing, event planning, and membership development.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and manage complex projects.
