Job Overview

Join our esteemed legal team as a Corporate Title Attorney, where you will leverage your expertise in title examination and contribute to various title-related tasks. This remote position provides flexibility and is open to attorneys licensed in Delaware, Mississippi, Nevada, Minnesota, Indiana, or Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive examinations of public records, title abstracts, leases, contracts, and other legal documents to ascertain land ownership and lien status for residential properties.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents concerning property ownership while offering expert opinions on title matters.
  • Provide interpretation and guidance on issues related to property titles.
  • Assist with the evaluation and management of title claims.
  • Research and remain informed on deed filing and pertinent legal requirements affecting titles.
  • Maintain effective communication with title companies to resolve processing and procedural inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review and revise legal documents to guarantee accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Legal team to offer support and maintain a cohesive work environment.

Required Skills

  • Valid admission to the State Bar in one of the specified states; a license in multiple states may result in a higher salary.
  • A Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor (J.D.) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of substantial experience in title examination and review.
  • In-depth understanding of the title process.
  • Commitment to continuous business improvement.
  • Ability to meet service level agreements (SLAs) while working closely with internal clients.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficient multitasking abilities across various projects and tasks.
