Job Overview

Join our innovative team as a Distinguished Engineer in Generative AI Systems, where you will contribute to our mission of developing trustworthy, reliable, and human-centered AI solutions that enhance the banking experience. Your expertise will be pivotal in establishing the foundational elements of our enterprise AI capabilities, working on projects that leverage cutting-edge machine learning technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Design: Architect resilient systems capable of sustaining long-duration, large-scale training tasks, ensuring operational reliability amidst individual node failures.
  • Model Serving: Build an infrastructure designed for the efficient deployment of extensive machine learning models within our public cloud architecture.
  • Cluster Deployment: Implement large training clusters, optimizing both storage and networking systems while utilizing various parallelism techniques for training pipelines.
  • Performance Benchmarking: Develop and execute benchmarks to assess AI systems’ performance, offering informed recommendations on technology choices.
  • Application Development: Design and implement applications that incorporate large language models (LLMs) and foundation models (FMs).
  • MLOps Support: Create and enhance capabilities that facilitate MLOps processes for foundation models, ensuring a streamlined model lifecycle from development to deployment.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in constructing and managing distributed computing environments.
  • Proficiency in AI and ML algorithm development using Python or C/C++.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end machine learning development lifecycle.
  • Strong background in public cloud environments and relevant AI/ML frameworks.
  • Familiarity with MLOps principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in designing distributed computing systems and large-scale machine learning applications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms.
  • At least 3 years of involvement with the complete machine learning development lifecycle.

Compensation And Benefits

We offer a competitive salary reflective of your experience and location, with a salary range for San Francisco, CA, between \(291,100 - \)332,300 for full-time positions. Additionally, you will be eligible for performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
