Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Microprocessor (MPU) Field Application Engineer to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in providing exemplary technical support to our valued customers while actively driving design wins across targeted accounts and technologies. You will play a significant role in shaping innovative solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding technical support to assigned customers in a timely and effective manner.
• Take ownership of driving design wins in designated accounts and technologies.
• Facilitate proof of concept initiatives, solution design, and demonstrations to ensure the successful integration of solutions.
• Collect and analyze customer and competitive insights to inform product definitions and roadmaps.
• Clearly articulate the value proposition of system solutions in comparison to competitors.
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with sales teams, business lines, partners, and customers to support sales objectives.
• Assess customer technical objectives using relevant data-gathering methods to enhance the productivity of the sales team.
• Educate sales and distribution partners on new technologies and product features, emphasizing their business benefits.
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of system-level applications within target markets.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient in technical support and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
• In-depth knowledge of hardware interfaces including Ethernet, PCIe, and USB.
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems and Linux environments.
• Experienced in using JTAG-based tools.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex SoC system behaviors methodically.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in development engineering or applications support for SoC-based embedded systems.
• Field Application Engineering experience in the semiconductor industry is required.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces such as SDIO, modern DDR, SPI, MIPI, and USB, particularly with PowerPC or ARM Cortex A/M microprocessors.
• Prior experience in custom board bring-up and debugging is preferred.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, development support, and training activities.
• Proven capability to quickly adapt to and learn new technologies.
