Job description

Join our esteemed Information Systems division as an Epic Data Analyst (Release Management) in a fully remote capacity. In this integral position, you will be at the forefront of managing Epic Data Courier activities while ensuring the effective implementation of shared master file strategies. Your role will encompass planning, testing, quality assurance, documentation, and user acceptance processes. You will be a key player in guiding change control processes and coordinating significant Epic environment activities, thus making a substantial impact on data management and information security solutions across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Data Courier activities by maintaining a deep understanding of Epic Projects from both a data structure and application processes perspective.
  • Oversee EGC records and manage Data Courier Interfaces effectively.
  • Implement changes based on recommendations from Epic Technical Considerations, collaborating closely with Application teams.
  • Ensure System Definition INIs are managed and environments are synchronized accurately.
  • Support and enhance process improvements for all Epic Applications.
  • Train and guide analysts on Data Courier and Content Management best practices.
  • Develop and maintain Content Management and Data Courier ECLS and IPGs.
  • Map and sustain Epic Content Management, Data Courier, Sherlock, and Nova provisioning.
  • Coordinate and track Epic Project build migrations, including managing Non-Project build migrations to Production.
  • Generate detailed process documentation and knowledge articles for Data Courier, Environment Release, and Testing.
  • Conduct monthly audits for Production migrations to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Release Management

  • Document the architecture of Epic Environments meticulously.
  • Manage and oversee Nova, assisting teams in navigating its complexities.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Epic applications and act as a backup communicator for Epic Environment activities.
  • Adhere to the Release Authorization (RA) process for Epic diligently.
  • Collaborate with Epic Technical Consultants and Application teams to resolve issues and organize meetings.
  • Ensure the Production environment for Epic applications remains stable.
  • Address server errors in partnership with technical and application teams.

Testing Coordination

  • Assist in orchestrating Integrated Testing during major release events.
  • Maintain and manage Integrated Testing processes with precision.
  • Collaborate on the development of new test scripts with Project Teams.
  • Conduct Migration Audits during Integrated Testing Weeks.
  • Work alongside software vendors and application teams to execute automated testing for Epic.

Required Skills

  • Strong comprehension of Data Courier and Content Management Structures.
  • Proven experience with Epic Build, Implementation, and Support.
  • In-depth knowledge of Epic Release Management and Integrated Testing frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication skills across a variety of audiences.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with server systems is preferred.
  • Previous project management experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of Eggplant Testing Automation Software Administration is beneficial.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, accompanied by at least 1+ years of applicable experience in healthcare, clinical, or IT settings.
  • Epic Application or Data Courier Administration Certification is advantageous.
