Job description

Join our esteemed team as a Project Engineer I, where you will play a vital role in steering engineering initiatives for critical projects, with a specific emphasis on site-civil work, including new utility routing and connections. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, enabling you to contribute effectively from your home environment. Your collaboration with clients, utility owners, and public works teams will be pivotal to achieving project success, underscoring the importance of strong communication skills and relevant engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and allocate skilled personnel to projects.
  • Ensure compliance with project schedules and manpower estimates.
  • Plan and supervise engineering tasks for assigned projects.
  • Provide operational oversight across various engineering disciplines.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline from a four-year accredited institution.
  • At least 12 years of professional experience as a degreed engineer, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Basic understanding of project management for medium-sized initiatives, with experience assisting senior project managers.
  • Familiarity with collaborating alongside Principal Engineers and Supervising Discipline Engineers to establish man-hour requirements and project timelines.
  • Proficient in developing design bases that satisfy client specifications while adhering to best engineering practices.
  • Experience in coordinating technical activities across disciplines within projects.
  • Strong capability to interpret, manage, and execute engineering assignments effectively.

Desired Qualifications

  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, adding a credential to enhance your professional profile.
