Job Overview

As the Project Administrator for the School-Based Mental Health (SBMH) Program, you will play a pivotal role in fostering effective communication and collaboration among students, faculty, and partner organizations. This position encompasses student recruitment, curriculum enhancement, coordination with community stakeholders, and support for students’ professional journeys. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future landscape of social work and mental health services within educational settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and attract talented Master of Social Work (MSW) students for the SBMH cohort.
  • Assist in the refinement and updating of the MSW curriculum to ensure alignment with SBMH program objectives.
  • Facilitate and lead meetings with community partners to expand practicum placement opportunities and strengthen ties with local educational institutions.
  • Create and disseminate marketing and training materials, including digital content, brochures, and social media campaigns, to enhance awareness of the SBMH program as a viable career option.
  • Provide mentorship to MSW students, guiding them through their educational paths and professional development, including career placement and licensure preparation.
  • Support the collection and analysis of program data, assisting in the preparation of insightful reports and presentations.
  • Represent the SBMH program at various events and meetings, effectively communicating its activities, ambitions, and successes.
  • Aid in the management of grants, ensuring adherence to objectives and overseeing financial practices and budget considerations pertaining to the program.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
  • Proficient experience in community engagement and working with diverse multicultural and multilingual populations.
  • Familiarity with grant management processes and experience in academic or K-12 environments.
  • Demonstrated capability to mentor and support students effectively.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a closely related field by the effective start date.
  • Recent experience (within the last 4 years) in school-based mental health services is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience collaborating with community organizations.
  • Previous involvement in grant-funded projects within academic or K-12 settings is advantageous.
