Job Title: Tax Director - High Net Worth Clients (Remote)

We are seeking a dedicated Tax Director to join our esteemed regional wealth advisory firm, specializing in serving High Net Worth clients. In this critical role, you will spearhead our tax department, delivering unparalleled tax compliance, planning, and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee, mentor, and guide Tax Managers and Associates on client matters and technical tax issues.
  • Identify and implement innovative tax planning and consulting opportunities for clients.
  • Review and manage tax returns, extensions, and planning calculations for various entity types, primarily focusing on individuals.
  • Analyze financial statements and perform essential accounting tasks, including adjusting entries and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review intricate tax planning projections for both individual and corporate estimated tax liabilities.
  • Manage client engagements from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with client expectations.
  • Prepare or review complex U.S. and state individual income, gift, and estate tax returns.
  • Conduct comprehensive tax research and draft memoranda that summarize findings and conclusions.
  • Respond to inquiries and audits from the IRS and state agencies.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, and tax authorities regarding diverse tax matters.
  • Lead the department in mastering software, processes, and workflows.

  • Proficient in tax research, with experience using RIA.
