As a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional client service while enjoying a manageable workload—averaging 37.5 hours during the quieter months and capped at 55 hours during peak seasons.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and management of tax returns, extensions, and tax planning calculations, primarily for individual clients.
• Analyze financial statements and perform necessary accounting adjustments while ensuring accurate client records.
• Develop and review comprehensive tax planning projections for both individual and corporate tax liabilities.
• Ensure timely delivery of client obligations and adherence to due dates.
• Prepare and review complex U.S. and state tax returns, including individual income, gift tax, and estate tax returns.
• Conduct thorough tax research and develop memorandums outlining findings and interpretations.
• Address inquiries and audits from the IRS and state agencies effectively.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and management to navigate various tax matters.
• Lead knowledge sharing within the department, focusing on software and process optimization.
  
  

Required Skills

• Minimum of 4-10 years of experience in tax compliance and planning.
• Strong proficiency in individual tax compliance, including research capabilities using RIA.
• Knowledge of gift, estate, and trust returns is advantageous, as is experience with partnership taxation.
• A collaborative and approachable demeanor with a focus on teamwork.
• A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
• Ability to mentor and cultivate the development of junior team members.
  
  

Qualifications

• 4-10+ years of relevant experience in tax compliance and planning.
• Proven background in individual tax compliance and tax research.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
