Job description

Glenguard is recruiting for a Product and Technical Services Manager which develops and promotes technical support and solutions to ensure business initiatives are met. Collaborates with a dynamic team to ensure successful launches of new products to include sales, marketing, and product development. Is recognized as an industry expert in the FR/AR market segment.

**This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office in Burlington NC and 2 days work from home**

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new market opportunities while evaluating emerging technology and business issues that may present opportunities or challenges; in support of sales and customer-facing efforts
  • Cultivate meaningful partnerships with a diverse set of global vendors; leverage their access with innovative technologies to establish competitive advantages for Glen Raven
  • Oversee world class quality standards for our GlenGuard product line.
  • While working closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Strategic Development, develop a strategic plan for bringing new products from concept to commercialization. This includes fully understanding all criteria before a new product is initiated. 
  • Developing quality agreements, SOP’s, etc. with manufacturing partners, whether it be inside Glen Raven or out, for new products.
  • Perform periodic vendor audits to ensure supplier quality, SOP discipline and continuous supplier base improvement
  • Managing a continuous improvement and cost reduction plan for all products.
  • Serve as a leader/ role model and create working environments where employees are both equipped and driven to excel.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in technical textile work experience.
  • 4 + years of experience in the technical / manufacturing areas of the textile industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in communicating with team members across business units and functions within and outside of Glen Raven
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • A robust aptitude for leading through influence, setting direction, and delivering results
  • Customer focus: Understand, monitor and respond to the needs of internal and external customers 
  • Understanding of P&L responsibilities and a profit conscious mindset.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • The ability to write up reports and findings in such a way that the data and information can be grasped by others.
  • Must have the skills to be able to comfortably and effectively present verbal presentations to a group.
  • An out-of-the-box mentality is beneficial for developing a plan for bringing a new idea to market.
  • Must have the personality to be able to work with vendors, partners and customers to achieve common goals.
