Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for diverse Public Works projects, including transportation systems, stormwater management, and sewer pipelines.
• Conduct hydrology and hydraulic analyses, and perform earthwork evaluations to create comprehensive roadway and streetscape improvement plans.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for detailed design implementations in transportation and civil infrastructure projects.
• Prepare project specifications adhering to industry standards, such as Greenbook or Caltrans.
• Generate accurate estimates for construction quantities and perform cost analyses using Excel.
• Review and provide constructive feedback on designs produced by junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure timely resolution of plan checks and corrections with meticulous attention to detail.
• Collaborate effectively with various departments, clients, and agencies to achieve project objectives.
• Assist project managers in budget management, scheduling, scope definition, and overall project strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
