Description

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. Own the month-end close and general ledger management.
  • Revenue Recognition: Oversee SaaS revenue recognition processes in line with ASC 606. Manage billing, collections, and revenue forecasting to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank, general ledger, and other financial accounts to maintain accuracy and completeness.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis. Provide insights and recommendations for financial planning and strategy.
  • Audit & Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit findings. Maintain documentation and adhere to internal controls and compliance requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, offering guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Executive Collaboration: Work closely with upper management and provide financial performance updates to investors on a monthly basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification and experience with a Big 4 firm.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 1-2 years as a senior accountant in the SaaS industry.
  • Experience with multilocation and/or multi-product pricing models is a plus.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks is beneficial; experience with larger ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle) is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in scaling businesses and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Prior experience with IPOs or exits from VC-backed companies, particularly Series B+.
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
