Our company is looking to hire a Director of Engineering, reporting directly to the VP of Software Engineering. This is a key role with responsibility for the oversight, development and performance of multiple teams building and managing SaaS solutions. Success in this role will come from your experience as a leader, a strong delivery focus, and an ability to lead through adopting the strategy and vision of the organization. You will drive new development, as well as optimizing existing team structures and processes. A solid understanding of adapting agile structures and processes in a multicultural, distributed environment will help you optimize, and make intelligent tradeoffs as we deliver amazing customer value while fighting climate change through software.
Oversee the people, process, technology and structure of multiple teams
Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements
Ensure compliance with security regulations
Manage software development initiatives
Design strategies for future development projects based on the company’s overall objectives and resources
Hire engineers and coordinate their training
Implement innovative technologies
Coordinate with external stakeholders for new integrations and tools
Review and update policies relevant to internal systems and equipment
Coordinate with teams in Europe as we build a unique platform solution for our customers
