About the Role: 
We are seeking a passionate, entrepreneurial professional with a deep background in incubation sales and extensive experience selling Enterprise software.
 
The Sr. Technical Commerce Sales Specialist is the subject matter expert responsible for supporting the field sales organization in the technical and functional elements of commerce use cases in business development and sales efforts in his or her assigned geography ensuring consistent and rapid growth in sales of focused Sitecore Commerce solutions.
 
Sr. Technical Commerce Sales Specialist is a motivated key member of the sales team and adds value by his or her understanding, network, and hands-on experience of the Enterprise software industry and more specifically in the domains of modern eCommerce and Search for Commerce. He or she will work in close contact with the Enterprise Seller team, Sales Engineer team, professional services organization and partner organization to respond to inbound and outbound leads, RFPs, client requests, demos, participate in marketing and customer events and perform all activities needed to successfully close new business.
 
Sr. Technical Commerce Sales Specialist will report to the Global Vice President of Commerce Sales.
 
What You’ll Do: 
  • Deep Technical Expertise – Strong technical understanding of modern SaaS, API-first, headless architecture.  A strong understanding of the value propositions that “composable solution” architecture delivers to customers.  Demonstrated experience building POCs and customer facing technical presentations.  This will include solution prototyping, delivery, skinning, and presentation, writing technical answers and proposals to RFP, RFQ, RFI from prospects
  • Demonstrate Customer Centric Behavior – A clear alignment on Sitecore’s value proposition to contributing to the ongoing success of our customers.  Providing ongoing thought leadership to our existing customers, and continually sharing “best practices” that can lead to increased customer value realization.
  • Support Pipeline Growth & Progression – Build strong customer specific understanding of a unique value proposition for Sitecore to deliver to each customer.  Help lead internal and external business relationships to progress and justify urgency by customer to solve their business problems leveraging the defined strategy.  Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Field Sales, Pre-Sales, Sales Development, etc.) and external Sitecore partners to accomplish this pipeline progression.
  • Team leadership – Set up and drive a strong culture of partnering excellence built on transparency and respect.  Foster a culture of constant improvement, leading by example but also harnessing the differences in the team to the benefit of all
 What You Need to Succeed  
  • Experience with eCommerce, Search, Order Management, Supplier Management.  This should span omnichannel use cases (i.e. D2C, B2B, B2B2C, Marketplaces, etc)
  • Demonstrated understanding how AI is transforming eCommerce, and why flexible Headless solutions are critical to new industry growth.
  • Clear understanding how Content is critical to effective eCommerce use cases, and the technology dependencies of both Content and Commerce.
  • Ability to engage in discussions around revenue growth, ROI, and TCO with business decision-makers (usually C-Level or SVP/VP)
  • Ability to engage with marketing professionals (Director level or below) who are concerned with optimizing the customer experience, next best action, and revenue generation
  • Ability to convey technical benefits to IT audience who are concerned with solution fit and integration into existing solution ecosystem.
  • Results-oriented; committed to the quality of product and service

  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
