We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to own and manage First Media’s site inventory opportunities (mainly SoYummy.com, ItsBlossom.com, BabyFirstTV.com, and BlusherGlam.com). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our inventory is optimally utilized and presented in a clear, exciting way to potential media buyers. You will work closely with our content, marketing, and partnerships teams to develop compelling offerings that resonate with advertisers, driving revenue growth for the brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage First Media’s site inventory opportunities, including display, video, and native ad placements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media buyers, agencies, and direct clients, ensuring our offerings are aligned with their needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with content and marketing teams to ensure inventory is effectively integrated into broader brand initiatives and campaigns.
  • Create and present exciting, data-driven sales pitches and build custom media plans, highlighting our unique site offerings and audience insights.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of inventory offerings, optimizing placements to maximize revenue.
  • Present proposals, noting cost, delivering schedules, recommendations & reporting throughout and after the campaign’s flight.
  • Help concept new and creative digital media experiences for new and existing clients.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitor offerings to keep our inventory innovative and competitive.
  • Collaborate with ad operations and 3rd party partners to ensure seamless delivery and performance tracking of campaigns.
  • Provide regular reporting on inventory performance and sales pipeline progress to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in digital ad sales, media buying, or a related field, with a strong focus on site inventory management.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies and client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of O&O digital advertising formats, including display, video, native, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Act as the primary owner of digital program initiatives, including video, display, custom sponsorships, direct publisher partnerships, and programmatic activation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling sales pitches and media kits.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of programmatic buying and audience targeting is a plus.
  • Passion for food and the digital media space is highly desirable.
  • Strong presentation skills, including crafting the story, writing the deck, and communicating the message to the client or partner.
  • Ability to work independently and to achieve success based on your initiative.
  • Genuine curiosity, strategic thinking, and the ability to learn on the fly.
  • Experience selling to media buyers at large enterprises, agencies, and mid-market companies.
  • Advanced understanding of the digital and programmatic landscape with hands-on experience executing Digital programs and Adservers.
