Job description

"This is a remote position and the ideal candidate must reside within the City of West Chicago, Illinois"


We are currently hiring for a Customer Service Representative. In this position, you will ensure a positive customer experience and strengthen customer relationships through professional, timely, and accurate order processing. You will partner with Sales, Product Management, Accounting, and Operations to ensure all customers' expectations are met and exceeded.


  • Process customer orders ensuring accurate and timely order entry, assign appropriate ship date, and shipping location.
  • Resolve credit hold issues with customers, accounting department, and sales. Scan order documents into the optical storage system.
  • Apply barcodes to documents and scan order documents into the optical storage system.
  • Coordinate with customers and the shipping department to optimize freight costs and resolve delivery issues.
  • Review shipping reports, bills of lading, invoices, orders, customer requirements and other records to determine priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping and customer receiving schedules.
  • Utilize CRM application to verify special pricing; resolve price discrepancies in collaboration with Sales, Accounting and Customers.
  • Process Service-Related Complaints (SRC), and ensure complete resolution.
  • Manage customer returns in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Schedule, and initiate customer returns.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email regarding order status, including shipping information, inventory availability, freight costs, and pricing
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or the equivalent plus a minimum of two years plus related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred
