A Brief Overview

The US LBM Digital Asset Management Lead will develop and manage the lifecycle of assets and archival processes, including file naming conventions and permissions. This role will optimize the digital asset management system (DAM), implement best practices, and develop efficient workflows. You will apply an understanding of taxonomy best practices and metadata development when cross-referencing incoming digital assets from suppliers to corresponding US LBM product codes to ensure assets are accurately tagged, categorized, and easily searchable.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and manage the lifecycle of assets, including version control, rights management, and archival processes.
  • Optimize the digital asset management system, implementing best practices and developing and efficient workflows.
  • Work cross-functionally and with suppliers to obtain digital assets to support the sale of their products through US LBM, including high–resolution photos, 2D images, installation instructions, product specifications, part breakdowns, marketing copy, etc.
  • Effectively cross-reference digital assets to corresponding ULSBM product codes and upload assets to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) System.
  • Establish DAM governance, including file naming conventions and permissions.
  • Ensure assets and files are tagged accurately and consistently for easy searchability and accessibly.
  • Validate outsourced work as part of Digital Asset Management.
  • Manage large projects, validate outsourced work, and provide direction to digital asset team and others as needed.
  • Apply critical thinking in reviewing assets and collaborate with subject matter experts and data analysts to ensure enterprise data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
  • Develop reports on the status and usage of digital assets, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to digital asset quality.
  • Communicates internally and with third parties to provide status updates, to resolve conflicts and to provide feedback and recommend business process changes.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, library science, or a related field.

Experience Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in media, digital asset management (DAM), librarian science or archives preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working in a DAM system.
  • Experience with metadata tagging, file naming conventions, and DAM governance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage large volumes of digital assets effectively.

Skills And Abilities

  • Proficiency in digital asset management systems and related technology.
  • Advanced proficiency Microsoft Office, particularly with large data sets in Excel
  • Collaborate effectively with peers and leaders and must be comfortable leading meetings
  • Familiarity with data feeds, EnterWorks, NAICS, GS1, etc. a plus
  • Effectively work in a team environment with the ability to work independently and remotely.

Travel Requirements
