Job Description

Job Summary

ABM College is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Financial Planner Program Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction to students enrolled in our financial planner program. The Program Instructor plays a vital role in delivering educational content and facilitating engaging learning experiences for participants. The Program Instructor will be responsible for developing curriculum, leading classes, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Duties

  • Design and implement instructional materials and activities that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with the program director and academic department to develop and update course materials, syllabi, and learning outcomes to reflect current financial planning practices and standards.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage participants and enhance their understanding of the material.
  • Develop and administer quizzes, exams, projects, and case studies to evaluate student performance. Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding of financial planning concepts.
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and collaboration among students.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to improve program offerings and ensure alignment with educational goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends, regulations, and certifications relevant to the financial planning industry, including changes to CFP Board standards and other relevant certifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a closely related field. A Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting, is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning tools, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Proven ability to engage students and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Experience in curriculum development or instructional design is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A passion for teaching and helping others achieve their educational goals.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 20 per week
