  • Renewstable® (Power-to-Power): Multi-megawatt firm and stable energy supply from the combination of intermittent renewable energy sources and a long-term onsite hydrogen energy storage
  • Hypower® (Gas-to-Power): Multi-megawatt Hydrogen-to-power solution generating on-demand electricity through the integration of fuel cells

HDF Energy has a robust project pipeline totaling 5 billion euros globally and operates in over 35 countries across 5 continents. In Asia, projects are being identified and developed in 7 countries.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Development for Japan : Build and manage relationships with key energy stakeholders (investors, lenders, METI, grid operators, off-takers, etc.) and cultivate partnerships with major players (trading houses, gas utilities, power utilities, etc.).
  • Project Development : Identify and evaluate high-potential projects, manage land acquisition (or lease), navigate permitting processes, conduct feasibility studies, and secure grid connection approvals.
  • Investor/Stakeholder Relations : Collaborate with Finance teams to develop and present investment opportunities, supporting decision-making for HDF Energy and its partners.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure continuous compliance with Japanese regulatory and legal frameworks while staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Investor and Lender Engagement : Build strong relationships with domestic investors and lenders to ensure successful project financing.


YOUR PROFILE

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy sector (thermal or renewable power plants), preferably in project development or project finance.
  • Experience working with utilities and METI.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present at meetings and conferences (French communication skills are a plus, but not a necessity).
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and autonomy.
  • Endurance and persistence due to the long-term nature of projects with extended deadlines.
  • Experience working in the Kyushu and/or Okinawa areas is a plus.
