What will you do?

A day in the life of an Accounting Manager (Intercompany and Treasury Services) at VF looks a little like this.

As part of the VF North America Accounting team, this position is responsible for oversight of the intercompany and treasury services staff, transactions, and processes to ensure completeness and accuracy of the intercompany accounting and manual wire payment processes.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

• Drives systematic solutions to increase efficiency in the intercompany accounting department; streamlines processes across the businesses and documents the implemented procedures; promotes continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives.
• Responsible for auditing manual wire payments for accuracy and approval, using banking portals.
• Reviews account reconciliations monthly, wire transfer activity and journal entries.
• Accountable for developing standard reporting formats and processes for the intercompany accounting team.
• Maintains monthly and annual closing/financial reporting requirements.
• Manages intercompany accounting staff by planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, and providing development opportunities.
• Responsible for reconciling multiple cash disbursement accounts.
• Assists with audit requests, balance sheet review presentations, and federal/state tax packages.
• Communicates accounting/reporting changes to brand finance. Coordinate accounting transactions with Corporate Tax, Brand Controllers and Brand Analysts to ensure proper accounting records.
• Provides leadership, guidance and support in the development of transition plans and timelines to meet changing business requirements.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required for this position. Additionally, ideal candidates will have 5 years of experience and professional achievements. 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

• Advanced Excel and PC skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle and resolve complex issues
• Location requirement: While this position is fully remote, the ideal candidate will reside within Wisconsin.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

• CPA certification
• SAP experience
