PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $24.90-$30.38 hourly. The full Pay Range is $20.20-$35.96 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:
As a Consumer Loan Processor at BECU, you'll play a key role in helping our members achieve their financial goals. Your expertise will streamline the loan process, ensuring members have a smooth and seamless experience from application to funding. You'll actively collaborate with internal teams and external partners, utilizing your comprehensive knowledge of consumer lending policies and procedures. You'll make an impact by providing efficient, courteous, and professional service, contributing to both our members' success and BECU's growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
•    Process Consumer Loans: You’ll handle every step of loan processing, ensuring each application is accurate, complete, and compliant with BECU’s lending policies.
•    Clear Underwriting Conditions: Work closely with members, branch staff, and underwriters to meet underwriting requirements and move loans toward final approval.
•    Collaborate with Vendors: Partner with external vendors to ensure all collateral conditions are satisfied, keeping communication professional and efficient.
•    Analyze Loan Documents: Review and assess loan documents to confirm credit, collateral acceptability, and all financial ratios are in line with policy standards.
•    Coordinate Loan Closings: Facilitate smooth loan closings by preparing documents for member signatures and coordinating final terms with Marine Title Companies and dealers.
•    Support Members: Provide top-tier customer service by addressing member inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and offering alternative loan products when appropriate.
•    Monitor Loan Queues: Manage multiple consumer loan processing queues and inboxes, ensuring service levels are met while keeping up with multiple loan tasks.
•    Ensure Compliance: Keep up-to-date on BECU loan policies and ensure all documentation, pricing structures, and forms meet regulatory and institutional requirements.
•    Post-Closing Review: Conduct post-closing reviews to verify all closing conditions are met, ensuring compliance and member satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:
•    Associate’s degree in Business or equivalent work or educational experience.
•    Minimum of one year of experience in Consumer Lending.
•    Verbal and written communication skills.
•    Organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
•    Knowledge of RESPA, HMDA, Fair Lending, and ECOA regulations.
•    Proficient in PC skills with the ability to learn new software.
•    Math and basic accounting skills.

Desired Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
•    Ability to handle multiple loans in various stages and environments.
•    Knowledge of Credit Union departments and their interaction with Consumer Lending.
•    A thorough understanding of BECU’s Consumer Loan pricing structure and loan products.
