Job Description

Organization: Software Investment Advisory focuses on developing and executing a consultative services strategy to help Oracle customers maximize the value from their Oracle investments. The objectives of the Software Investment Advisory business are centered on four key principles:

  • Proactive Account Management with dedicated alignment
  • Investment Maximization and helping customers realize the value


of their Oracle Cloud Infrastructure subscriptions

  • Cloud Transformation on Oracle
  • Providing Cloud Consulting Services by the Oracle Experts from Oracle

The Role:

Responsible specifically for delivering Cloud Investment Services to Oracle’s top strategic accounts that align with our Oracle’s customers' present and future needs:

  • Rationalize and maximize the value of our Customer’s Oracle investment
  • Member of a team of 5 consultants specializing in cloud financial management for OCI
  • Assist in creating and scaling new consulting services in the cloud financial management space
  • Assist in OCI cloud financial management features/tool training for the larger SIA organization globally.
  • Provide visibility into customers' cloud financial management implementation and identify potential cost/performance optimization opportunities.

  • Partners with other Oracle lines of business: Sales, Account Directors, Product Management, Deal Management, etc.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for taking ownership of a portfolio of strategic Oracle Customers, understanding their specific OCI needs, and presenting appropriate cloud financial management recommendations
  • Identify customer's cloud financial management struggles/pain points and deliver OCI workshops structured around the three phases of FinOps (inform, optimize, operate)
  • Provide creative solutions to customer’s OCI cloud financial management challenges.
  • Identify common customer challenges/pain points within the cloud financial management for OCI space and provide product improvement suggestions to the OCI product Development team
  • Responsible for governance, which involves designing processes, procedures and long-term cloud road map to maximize value creation in accordance with Software Investment Advisory’s objectives
  • Drives strategic discussion with multiple stakeholders at various levels (including C level) and delivers professional presentations and tenders up to Board level
  • Builds strong relationships internally and externally and acts as a facilitator for the flawless execution of Software Investment Advisory’s services
  • Leads and contributes towards multiple virtual project teams aimed towards improving customer engagement and service enablement
  • Operates in line with Oracle’s processes/procedures & core values
  • Supports peers in acquiring experience (e.g. customer-facing situations, new products, new services)
  • Personal development


Qualification

  • University degree or equivalent combination of studies and experience
  • 10+ years experience in a customer-facing role in the technology industry: consulting, account management, value engineering, customer success, or cloud engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in the Cloud Financial Management, FinOps, or Cloud Center of Excellence space.


Competencies

  • FinOps Practitioner, CSAM, ITAM, PMP or other cloud-specific certifications preferred
  • Experience with other CSP’s (AWS, GCP, Azure) cloud financial management features/tools
  • Ability to work in a consultative manner with the appropriate level of technical cloud financial management understanding (OCI SDK for Python, Java, or .NET and OCI CLI command reference)
  • Experience with developing scripts using languages like Python, Java, and Terraform to implement automated cost optimization control & attribution policies
  • Full understanding of cloud cost management principles (budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, tagging, cost optimization, quotas, cost usage reports, and FinOps best practices)
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and in many different and challenging environments
  • Strong communication, presentation, business writing, and professional skills, including being able to liaise with both technical/ business & internal/ external contacts
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders in order to gain credibility quickly, inspire trust and confidence
  • Ability to determine client needs with innovative approaches
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations
  • Advanced spreadsheet capability
  • Fluent in English, and other languages dependent on the market/region

US: Hiring Range: from $109,100 - $223,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
