Position Overview: As a Senior Social Media Community Manager at Open English, you will take the lead in managing and nurturing a vibrant online community for both Open English and Open English Junior. You’ll act as the voice of the brand, creating an omnipresence across social platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, and Facebook groups. Your mission is to build authentic engagement, spark meaningful conversations, and foster user-generated content (UGC) that enhances brand loyalty and trust. You’ll also collaborate with influencers and internal teams to drive community growth and report valuable insights back to the brand.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and foster active online communities across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, Threads, and other platforms.
  • Create engaging, fun, and interactive content that surprises and delights followers, driving meaningful conversations and UGC.
  • Establish Open English’s social presence and conduct outreach to boost brand visibility and engagement.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, implementing creative strategies to keep the community excited and engaged.
  • Collaborate with the influencer team to scout and create partnerships that promote community growth.
  • Use social listening tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Meta Business Suite) to monitor trends, audience sentiment, and emerging conversations around English learning.
  • Manage broadcast channels, create performance reports, and offer actionable insights to improve engagement and brand presence.
  • Assist the Social Media Manager with the content calendar, ensuring a cohesive brand voice across all platforms.
  • Plan and execute social collaborations, giveaways, and contests to drive engagement and brand awareness.
  • Generate reports on performance metrics, social insights, and audience behavior to guide future strategies.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in social media marketing and community management.
  • Proven success in building engaged communities and fostering meaningful conversations.
  • Strong writing skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to craft witty, attention-grabbing content.
  • Experience using social media management platforms (e.g., Dash Hudson, Sprout), social listening tools (Sprinklr), and ManyChat for user engagement.
  • Familiarity with reporting, data analysis, and content performance metrics to inform strategy.
  • A love for social media, emerging trends, and creative problem-solving.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
