We need an English-fluent Senior Kafka developer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and manage Kafka-based data pipelines.
Configure, deploy and maintain Kafka clusters.
Implement security measures to protect Kafka clusters and data streams.
Optimize Kafka configurations for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and ensure delivery within deadlines.
Provide expert-level suggestions and troubleshooting to improve system performance.
Assist in integrating Kafka into new or existing systems, ensuring seamless and scalable performance.
Provide technical support and guidance on Kafka best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelors in Computer Science or related fields.
5+ years of proven experience with Kafka, including architecture, deployment, tuning, and troubleshooting.
Experience with other big data technologies is a plus.
Experience working with Java.
Knowledge of TypeScript is a plus.
Familiarity with serverless architectures is a plus.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging, is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong communication skills in English (C1+ level), clearly articulating technical concepts.
Availability to work during Pacific Standard Time business hours (10 AM - 6 PM PST).

Compensation:

The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $3,000 - $4,500 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
