Location: Hybrid - Home based and Towcester

Salary: Up to £50,000pa + benefits

Role Summary

The Head of Brand & Marketing is a critical role within the Optima Health business development department, strengthening Optima Health's reputation as the UK's leading occupational health and wellbeing provider.

This role is responsible for defining and executing the overall creative / marketing strategy and plan, leading the marketing team, and overseeing the company's portfolio of brands to ensure appropriate governance and controls are in place to protect brand and image at all times.

The Head of Brand & Marketing will be responsible for creating tailored campaigns and responding to creative briefs to improve our profile and brand awareness, position Optima Health as proactive thought leaders within the wider market and help support client retention and the growth ambitions of the organisation.

The role requires a passionate and dynamic individual who can balance strategic thinking against the need to be hands-on to deliver against the agreed plan. We are looking for an individual who can work from our Towcester office 2-3 days per week as a minimum.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • A creative, marketing or other suitable degree (desirable).
  • Significant experience working within a creative, marketing, media or PR department. A solid understanding and experience of practical application of marketing concepts and approaches is essential.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork within the business development team, with the SLT and wider departments.
  • Excellent communication skills in written English, and the ability to edit content to maximise impact of communications. Proofreading and copywriting skills will be required for creating content across multiple channels including websites, social media, newsletters and brochures.
  • Technically proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects and Photoshop. Video editing experience using Adobe software would also be advantageous. Experience using WordPress CMS (desirable).
  • An understanding of a range of digital channels including social media, web applications, podcasts and streaming platforms.
  • Well organised and able to plan and execute a programme of work – managing to budget and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Analytical with attention to detail.
  • Flexible and resilient.
  • Proficient in all MS office applications.
  • Ability to ensure that all activity is consistent with the overall marketing strategy using sound creative judgement.
  • Ability to work cohesively with clients and third parties.
  • A passion for pushing creative boundaries and contributing to the growth of the Optima brand.
