The Position:
The Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, administration, and delivery of a range of learning and development activities and projects to support the organisational strategic objects of Respect, as directed by the Learning and Development Manager. 

The Learning and Development Coordinator will be responsible for administration and reporting in the Learning Management System (LMS) and supporting the Learning and Development Manager with the development of training resources as required. The Learning and Development Coordinator will be focused on supporting the workforce to achieve Respect’s strategic goals and improve service delivery.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Respect Traineeship program, including educating managers of the processes, touch point surveys for trainees, recommendations for improvement and claims management.
  • Coordinate preferred Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) for each state and course for Respect Traineeships, manage stakeholder relationships, coordinate enrolments and attendance reporting.
  • Support the Learning and Development Manager with building and delivering a Respect Induction program.
  • Support the Learning and Development function by managing external training vendors and resourcing to facilities as required.
  • Support the Learning and Development function with developing educational materials as needed, including online learning materials, toolbox talks and materials for monthly newsletter.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Manager and other stakeholders to create and conduct surveys designed to identify specific training needs within the organisation.
  • Support the Learning and Development function with learning initiatives for leaders and other roles across the organisation to promote career progression.
  • Other associated tasks as required by Respect.

Requirements

What you can bring to the role:

Essential: 

  • A minimum of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role in a multi-disciplinary organisation.
  • Knowledge of effective and contemporary learning and development methodologies.
  • Experience with online learning platforms and practices.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Aged Care and/or other health care setting.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in education, human resources, or a related field.

To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
