At interworks.cloud, we are looking for a Software Architect to join our R&D department, responsible for building our cloud commerce platform based on the .NET 4.8, .NET 8, Vue 3, microservices, and many more running on Microsoft Azure. Comprised of many challenging aspects, both technical and business, the Software Architect will be responsible for the architectural design, technical leadership, and scalability of our software systems. This role requires a deep understanding of software engineering, architecture principles, and a hands-on approach to prototyping and proof of concepts. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multiple teams to align technical solutions with business goals and ensure our systems are future-proof.

Your role & responsibilities

• System Design: Lead the architectural design of software systems, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical requirements
• Technology Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms for software solutions, focusing on scalability and high performance.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Technical Leaders and development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Architectural Documentation & Reviews: Create templates and establish rules for architectural documentation. Maintain and review design patterns, diagrams, and technical specifications to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
• Prototyping & Proof of Concept (POC): Build prototypes and POCs to validate architectural decisions and share insights with Technical Leaders.
• Risk & Cost Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks, balancing cost and performance in architectural decisions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, product managers, and development teams, to align architecture with business objectives. Collaborate with fellow architects to generate innovative solutions.
  
• Mentorship: Mentor junior architects and Technical Leaders on best practices in software architecture.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve architectural strategies and solutions.
  

Our ideal candidate

• Experience: Proven experience as a Software Architect or similar role in designing scalable software systems with a focus on .NET development.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in .NET development with C#.
  Experience in creating architectural diagrams, design patterns, and technical documentation.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and guide development teams through architectural decisions.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage risk and cost-effectively.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
