Position Overview:

The Microsoft Business Strategist is the key strategist in driving the success of our Microsoft Azure solutions revenue, gross margin, and partner maturity with Microsoft.
Responsible to lead the develop of new cloud solutions and drive lead the execution, new processes, enable Zones teams and maintain customer satisfaction during the entire sales cycle and post-sales support.  
The Business Strategist is responsible for creating integrated offers and services around Software and Cloud programs to support revenue and margin growth. 
This key Business Manager role will require developing exceptionally strong and transparent working relationships with the sales and services teams in Zones to deliver expected customer and business results. The Business Manager must drive business impact through influence and direct team leadership, with the ability to identify and scope programs and guide supporting business case development.

What you’ll do as the Microsoft Azure Business Strategist:

  • Advises Sales and Support regarding program utilization and available cost support programs; oversee administration and application of programs 
  • Develop sales pipeline and execute against sales strategies to grow Microsoft Azure and Zones Services revenue throughout vertical markets 
  • Partner with Sales and Leadership to effectively apply programs and registration based on business opportunities 
  • Maintains program and Zones process expertise 
  • Creates unique offers, and advices price 
  • Sells integrated offers and services through Zones Cloud Marketplace 
  • Drives customer satisfaction through value added services and offerings 
  • Serve as a technical Azure subject matter expert and trusted advisor to customers
  • Engage with cutting-edge Microsoft Azure solutions
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Microsoft and other strategic partners
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to increase service and solution revenue and margins
  • Work closely with the Microsoft BDMs, sales, and marketing teams to create and implement effective propensity driven campaigns and promotions
  • Provide expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and licensing to customers and internal teams
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics
  • Weekly update/reporting to Sr. Management on progress/KPIs

What you will bring to the team:

  • BA/BS degree in business administration, information technology, marketing or related field or 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience, MBA a plus Technology Focus & Requirements 
  • 3+ years of experience delivering program and project efforts in a high technology environment 
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective 
  • Understanding of the industry, market, customers, competitors, suppliers, partners and capabilities of the business 
  • Professional, business-focused attitude and courteous manner towards clients, partners, and peers 
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines 
  • Analytical with excellent problem-solving skills 
  • Highly programmatic, with a proven success to manage cross team initiatives and programs 
  • Good understanding of Azure Apps and Infra, Data and AI, and End-to End Security 
  • Microsoft cloud technologies 
  • Cloud IaaS and Data Center partner ecosystem 
  • Microsoft Azure fundamentals 
  • Increased professional services revenue and margin

Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 + bonus.

Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Washington area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
