The position of Senior CRM DevOps Engineer will be Remote!

Summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer will work amongst an agile team specializing in large-scale E-Commerce business practicing continuous integration and working towards continuous delivery and deployment. This role will be heavily involved in the worlds of development, operations, and customer support. This role will play a key role in the development of new ideas for products and services by facilitating tests that focus on automation and repeatability. Duties may include participating in product brainstorming meetings, overseeing the creation of product mock-ups, and identifying possible design flaws until the resulting product is satisfactory. On the operations end, this role may contribute to the process by which the product will be produced on a larger scale and determine product distribution to consumers. On the support end the Senior DevOps Engineer will review customer support issues to identify and document defects.

What You'll Do 

• Design and implement tools and processes that enable a highly managed, automated, and consistent execution environment 
• Assist in website testing and enhancements on an ongoing basis by working with the development and creative teams 
• Implement processes to continue customer growth and simplify manual procedures 
• Work with DevOps, QA, .Net Engineers and Customer Support to ensure code quality and to be voice of the customer 
• Monitor network/application performance utilizing Azure Application Insights to determine benefits that can be obtained
• Be a part of the change management process to review what is pushed to production and when (scheduling)
• Research, recommend, and implement plug-ins to capture key metrics to drive improvements with respect to build failure analysis, code coverage metrics
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years’ experience 
• Experience with all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, and regression testing
• Strong working understanding of code and script (HTML, XML, CSS, Javascript etc…)
• Understanding of source control and VSTS operations
• Experience working on an e-commerce website
• Windows and Linux networking experience
• SQL experience
• Experience in requirements identification and solution analysis/testing
• Experience with microservice and/or event-driven architecture a plus
• Having participated in OpenSource Projects is a plus
• Experience with Containers (Docker, Chef Etc..) a plus
• Selenium experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
• Solid attention to detail and documentation skills using Excel, Email and Online Communication
• Ability to effectively work in a team environment and independently as needed
• Ability to interface with product owners, stake holders and end users
• Forward thinking, resourceful, and willing/able to work with different departments
• Analytical skills and organizational ability a must
