Overview

IP Australia requires the services of a Senior Linux Administrator to assist in providing business critical support and best practice to both Linux on premise and cloud infrastructure for IP Australia. The role will be placed within the Linux Enterprise service team within the Infrastructure Services team and assist in reaching IP Australia's strategic and security commitments.

Specifically, the Senior Linux Administrator will support:

  • The modernisation of IP Australias core business systems;
  • Migration of IP Australia systems and applications to a cloud-based environment; and
  • The delivery of business-critical support for on-premises and cloud Linux instances.

It is a mandatory requirement that this role have the appropriate skills, qualifications and experience against:

  • RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 and 8;
  • Ansible;
  • Satellite; and
  • RedHat IDM

Experience in the delivery of services using:

  • Solaris; and
  • Azure Cloud,

would be highly regarded.

The Senior Linux Administrator will also be required to:

  • Instil a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement within a team environment;
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline team;
  • Be proactive and motivated to build their corporate knowledge of the complex business and technical requirements that are relevant to the role; and

Undertake additional duties as required.

Subject to approval by IP Australia, tthe services may be delivered remotely, However, the successful candidate will be required to attend onsite planning or other activities as required.

Please note that it is estimated that the services will commence from 20 February 2023.
