Your missions

As a Manager, Proposals & Contracts you are a key member of the Business Operations, Proposals & Contracts Team. Your role plays an essential part in shaping Catalyst’s future success, including leading proposal development and contracts management.  This position works closely with the Associate Director, Proposals and Contracts as well as colleagues in Operations, Contracts, Finance and Business Development (BD).

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Proposal Development 

  • Responsible for the full cycle proposal development process, including development of complex proposals, interfacing with clients and strategic partners regarding Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Information (RFI) specifications, working with BD and Operations to help define the proposal strategy, coordinating and leading internal meetings for strategy and proposal review, and submitting final proposal documents to clients on or before due date as agreed with BD. 
  • Track and maintain proposals, including tracking sign-off and approval emails. 
  • Work with BD and Finance to negotiate the financial and contractual aspects of proposals and contracts with clients.  
  • Collaborate with BD as needed on client deliverables.  
  • Coordinate and attend bid defense meetings as requested by BD. 
  • Update the internal tracking system. 

Contract Management 

  • Develop contracts derived from proposals, managing the contract through client delivery and execution. 
  • Review and edit contracts derived from client templates, including clearly outlining the scope of work and project specifications. 
  • Ensure the scope of work and project specifications are clearly defined, the budget reflects the scope of work, and changes are integrated into the main study contract efficiently and accurately upon award. 
  • Develop CNFs/amendments to client contracts, as required, collaborating with BD, Operations, and Finance to define, prepare, and manage contract amendments. 
  • Update the internal tracking system.

Position Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in English or Communications is strongly recommended.

ExperienceThis role requires a minimum of 10 years of CRO or biopharmaceutical experience, or combination thereof.  Background in proposal writing and budget development is preferred.
