Position Summary

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our engineering team and to build on our successful line of power products. This individual will help develop and test industrial battery chargers, inverters, DC power systems, and supporting accessories across a wide power range (150W to 100kW) in support of critical power applications. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create product validation/regression test plans to ensure that product hardware and firmware meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Improve product test coverage, reliability, and capability of automated test stands through the development of new and improved software tests and software control of associated hardware. 
  • Develop automated product integration testing suites that run on a routine basis.
  • Create and support improvements to software functions used to test products in production. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent in a technical field of study.
  • 5 or more years of product validation and programming experience, including test plan development.
  • Experience working and communicating with test equipment such as voltmeters, data acquisition systems, load banks, and similar instruments to make manual and automated measurements.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot technical systems and their associated communication interfaces.
  • Mastery of computer programming and scripting languages (C#, Java, C/C++, BASH).
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills for articulating technical approaches and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Flexible team player who actively establishes and maintains effective working relationships with company management and co-workers, suppliers, and occasionally with customers.
  • Ability to multi-task in a small company environment.
  • Experience with .NET/.NET Core frameworks is a plus. 
  • Automated testing for compliance with standards is a plus (ex: IEEE1547, UL 2202). 
  • Experience with test frameworks is a plus (ex: Postman, Selenium, Appium) .
  • Experience with embedded systems programming is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of critical power genset backup, charger/battery systems or battery monitoring is a plus. 

 

Location: This position is primarily an onsite role in Longmont, CO, with partial remote work available.

 

Base Compensation: $110,000-$130,000 is the projected range of annual base salary for this role depending on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.
