About this role 

 

This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives to meet objectives of the local business with a focus on Belgium and to a lesser extent Luxembourg. It involves working closely with other members of the Continental European marketing team and stakeholders across the business to promote BlackRock’s capabilities to a primarily institutional client segment and reporting into the Head of Marketing for FraBeLux. 

 

Key areas of focus are driving to develop marketing strategies with the local and regional marketing team, developing marketing assets and executing them across the marketing mix for owned and paid media including digital, events, direct marketing, social etc.  

 

 

Key responsibilities 

 

  • Channel marketing – working cross-functionally with colleagues across the marketing team to develop marketing strategies to support business growth and deepening existing client relationships across all segments of the target audience. 

  • Content marketing – creation and administration of content on websites, promotions, e-mail newsletters and other marketing communications to support the business – add new content, improving the copy, and keeping the content fresh and relevant.  

  • Media planning – developing, implementing, monitoring and improving a global media strategy for the local market. 

  • Product marketing – working on new product enhancements and launches, integrating messaging across all marketing channels (events, emails, client communications, collateral, digital, PR etc.) 

  • Content management – initiating and leading the development and distribution of content. Helping to source global content and localize or create local content. 

  • Event management – plan and manage proprietary events and 3rd party events.   

  • Data driven decision making - conducting timely and insightful analysis of the results of all marketing activity to demonstrate the value it is delivering for the business and identify areas for continued enhancement. 

  • Collaborative teamwork - building a strong working relationship with the regional/global counterparts to leverage broader marketing activity for the local market. 

  • Process improvement – identify ways to improve the efficiency of the marketing team and champion this change. 

 

Experience 

  • Degree preferably in business studies, economics or communications / marketing 

  • 3- years’ experience in marketing with a strong background in digital & media planning. 

  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills with Flemish/Dutch as a native language; additional native command of French is a strong plus 

  • At least intermediate financial product and investment knowledge 

  • Experience in an international environment would be a plus
