Fashion/Apparel Designer (WFH)

Job Description:

We are seeking a creative and talented Fashion/Apparel Designer to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate trends into innovative designs. You will be responsible for creating original clothing designs, selecting fabrics and patterns, and overseeing the production process to ensure high-quality products that align with our brand’s vision.

Responsibilities:

• Research current fashion trends and anticipate designs that will appeal to consumers.
• Develop new clothing concepts and prepare sketches, designs, and samples.
• Create detailed technical drawings by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Select fabrics, colors, and patterns for each design.
• Collaborate with the design team to develop ideas for new products.
• Present design ideas to creative directors or showcase them in fashion or trade shows.
• Oversee the final production of designs, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure designs are manufactured properly.
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop products that meet customer and market needs.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and models.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Fashion Designer or similar role.
• Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
• Strong sketching and illustration skills.
• Excellent design and conceptual skills.
• Thorough knowledge of materials and understanding of the pattern-making process.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to travel for research and product development, if necessary.
