Job Description

THE POSITION:

The Field Team Lead - Oncology is responsible for the development and performance of all field activities in an assigned market. This position staffs and directs a team of field medical colleagues and provides leadership towards the achievement of qualitative and quantitative clients brand plan tactics and objectives. The Field Team Lead - Oncology will need to observe and identify market opportunities and challenges and subsequently develop, plan, implement, and follow through with action plans to positively influence opportunities and challenges within and through their team; this includes the development of team members towards corporate growth.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effectively plan and conduct strategic call plan and other meetings with members of the entire cross functional team, and upper management.

  • Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results and agreed-upon strategic call plans.
  • Maximize cross functional collaboration to execute against the strategic imperatives whilst driving patient access to medicine and sales performance.
  • Coach, mentor, educate and develop direct team members to enhance individual skills and elevate overall team performance
  • Maintain required technical expertise to respond accurately to all questions regarding product and therapeutic area issues from customers and their direct reports.
  • All other duties as assigned.

PEOPLE LEADER

  • Responsible for and oversee their respective department.
  • Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures.
  • Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Travel (70-80%)
  • Co-visits should be 3 to 4 days per week.  Each team member should be worked with at a minimum of quarterly.
  • Field Contact Reports should be completed within 48 hours of encounter and sent to representative for signature.  Should be returned and sent to Country Manager within 72 hours of encounter.
