Job description

Your missions

Overview:

This position is responsible for providing design support to engineers for site/commercial and residential land development projects.

Responsibilities:

Utilize basic ArcGIS functions in daily work
Coordinate and communicate with project team in creating Electrical and Gas Subdivision Designs to meet overall project objectives and deadlines (for CPS Energy)
Prepare and/or revise construction and planning documents as well as exhibits within company standards from redlines for a variety of projects
Ability to follow and implement Pape-Dawson QA/QC and agency checklists into construction documents
Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings
Inform Project Manager(s) of progress on assigned projects and request work when needed
Maintain organized work area to allow access of project information by other team members
Flexible in work assignments and team assignments
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
Apply for utility permits, as needed

Qualifications:

Detail oriented with high level of accuracy
Effective communications and interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime as needed
Working knowledge of ArcGIS, CPS Energy enterprise ArcGIS, electric distribtuion design standards, gas distribution design standards, asset and resource management (ARM)#LI-TJ1

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Computer-Aided Design, Geographic Information Systems, or other Associates Degree in Civil Engineering emphasis
Workign knowledge of civil construction documents
