JOB SUMMARY

The Business Operations Associate is responsible for providing support to the Commercial Team as needed, including prospecting, lead generation, technical support, and conference support.  Additionally, the Business Operations Associate will partner with Director of Business Operations and Alliance Management to build and support strategic partnerships with plasmid and/or cell therapy manufacturers and analytical testing laboratories as well as ancillary support to proposal generation, such as building databases for outsourced testing and raw materials/consumables.   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Support the Commercial Team in the following aspects:

  • Technical prospecting, including developing and generating relevant database reports, combined with web-based research to identify potential companies that are developing products that require viral vectors.
  • Provide support to BD directors as needed, which may include taking the BD lead on accounts/opportunities
  • Attend up to 2 conferences per year to provide BD and/or technical support at the booth and for partnering meetings
  • Build database of plasmid manufacturing providers and provide technical assessment of capabilities and pricing to identify and prioritize top prospective partners
  • Build database of outsourced analytical testing laboratories’ capabilities and pricing.
  • Work together with SMEs at Genezen to build a filterable database of pass-through costs (materials and outsourced testing) that could be used to estimate total pass-through costs for proposals.
  • Collate information from SMEs and leverage technical expertise to coordinate responses to RFIs from potential clients
  • Train on proposals and SOW processes and provide support for writing/reviewing, if required.
  • Work together with SMEs at Genezen to keep the template SOW up to date with required changes or modifications
  • Use technical knowledge to parse through conference attendees to identify those who should be targeted for meetings
  • Provide technical support for revisions of corporate slide deck and/or website
  • Navigate Salesforce to track opportunities and metrics, as needed.
  • Help to generate BOD sales metrics slides as needed
