The Role

We are looking for a Music Programmer and Curator to join our small but mighty Music Content team, which supports various O&O music stations across multiple genres at TuneIn. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, multiple station(s) management, contributing to the development of multiple music genres, collaborating with marketing, industry relations, creative, communications, and sales teams as an expert in music curation, and consulting with record labels and distributors to review priority releases. This role also involves supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of content data and performance, contributing to the editorial calendar for social features and programming concepts, and leading the delivery of business results with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, data-driven individual with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage crucial day to day functions and helping to maintain a high level of performance
  • Work with other disciplines in the TuneIn organization, including marketing, finance and legal teams to ensure all business elements are laid out and met

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in music, radio, media, entertainment or a related field
  • Experience with scheduling music stations in various formats & genres.
  • Proficient in Google programs, Microsoft Office, MusicMaster, Rivendell, WideOrbit, PlayoutOne, Jira, and Confluence
  • Articulate ideas, plans, priorities and feedback with internal groups and senior leadership 
  • Strong knowledge of Genre specific music but also recognize the trends of contemporary music
  • College graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Represent TuneIn when meeting with industry executives

  • Excellent internal and partner facing communication skills 
  • Can handle day to day station management, curation, scheduling and music relationships autonomously 
  • Proactive, can-do work style 
  • Ability to identify trends and collaborate with marketing and sales teams to execute

TuneIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. To determine your compensation, we take a market-based approach, meaning pay may vary depending on your location, and we also carefully consider several factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, and professional experience.

The expected starting salary for this position ranges from $81,000/yr in our lowest geographic market up to $95,000/yr in our highest geographic market and may be modified in the future. 

The compensation package also includes a wide range of medical plans, a flexible PTO policy, parental leave, various stipends, and other benefits listed above, as well as an attractive equity package.
