Eventbrite has built a world-class events platform and  marketplace, enabling entrepreneurs worldwide to grow their businesses with live events while helping event-goers discover unique, local things to do. We are looking for an experienced and highly strategic VP of Product Marketing to drive the strategy across event organizers, consumers and our Ads business to help us drive value to our customers through acquiring and retaining active users looking for things to do and increasing purchase conversion in partnership with product and marketing. You’ll do this by uncovering data-driven insights to improve product positioning, influence product roadmaps, and enhance customer communications. In addition, you will lead end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) motions for product releases and marketing campaigns. This role will also oversee marketing research discipline and our  lifecycle marketing and capability across our customers.

THE TEAM

Our Product Marketing team’s mission at Eventbrite is to champion the needs of event creators and event-goers to bring irresistible product experiences to market, ensuring customers understand how Eventbrite’s products and features can enable their success. We work cross-functionally to action customer and market insights by influencing product and monetization strategy and developing positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans for Eventbrite’s suite of products and services.

THE ROLE

As the VP of Product Marketing, you will drive game-changing strategies to increase acquisition, improve our customer user experience, and drive event merchandising and e-commerce on our platform. You will act as the bridge between Product and Marketing to coordinate successful product launches by articulating market requirements, defining and measuring success, executing go-to-market plans, and helping craft messaging that clearly communicates the value of Eventbrite. In partnership with research, analytics, and customer-facing teams, you will develop a deep understanding of our audience segments and their needs to recommend growth strategies and champion the customer throughout the organization.

This role will require you to bring a combination of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, strong communications, and operational excellence. The right candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and be motivated to hit and exceed our business targets. Your mission (and ours) is unique and powerful: bringing the world together through live experiences.

YOU WILL
  • Work closely with UXR, Market Research, and Product to identify core customer segments and the key jobs to be done, unmet needs, and decision-making process for each segment
  • Craft a robust learning agenda in partnership with research and analytics teams to stay on top of emerging trends
  • Translate this understanding of customer segments into clear value props, messaging, and marketing claims that communicate our value
  • Drive full-funnel go-to-market planning - including brand, content, product experience, PR, paid media, brand, and customer marketing - to meet commerce and adoption KPIs
  • Partner with Finance, Analytics, and Data Science to define and measure success, forecast business impact, and drive continuous improvement
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative insights by talking regularly to customers and working with our research and customer-facing teams
  • Develop a perspective on the market and present compelling business cases to drive prioritization of key investments to support business and customer goals
THE SKILLSET
  • Minimum (Basic) Requirements:  At least 12 years of Marketing experience that include any combination of new product development, product marketing, business strategy, leading GTMs and/or leadership roles. Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Preferred Requirements: At least 15 years of experience in the above areas. Driving new product launches and the strategy required, and leading GTMs in B2C and B2B audiences are highly preferred. MBA or similar post Bachelor Education preferred.

  • Highly data-driven with strength in deriving actionable insights from data and research
  • Biased towards action with ability to flex between big strategic decisions and building tactical work plans
  • Fantastic communication and presentation skills with the ability to confidently present to executives/senior management and peers
  • Strong writing skills and demonstrated understanding of messaging strategy
  • Energized by collaborative work; attacks big problems with big ideas and without ego
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, prioritizing and organizing effectively
  • Experience managing and building teams
  • Marketplace experience and managing multiple audience segments
