What We’re Looking For:
Trillium Health Resources is seeking a physician to serve as the Vice President of Utilization Management and benefits. This position will provide operational lead and clinical oversight for the functional area of UM/UR for Medicaid, Utilization Management for state dollars, and Innovations Waiver and B3 services. The VP UM Director directly supervises the physical health UM Director and the BH/IDD Utilization Management Director including the Transitions of Care unit and Benefits Unit. This position monitors performance and service delivery, staff productivity, and quality assurance and may develop procedures and recommend policies and procedures for the Chief Medical Officer.
On a typical day you might :
- Oversee physical health and behavioral health service activities in UM
- Develop goals and objectives
- Review processes to ensure members receive necessary medical services
- Oversee staff
- Ensure Trillium meets all contractually required metrics
- Review and analyze reports

Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Medical Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) with completion of residency as a psychiatrist or Primary Care Physician
Required Experience: Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated utilization review and management experience in physical health, behavioral health, and IDD benefits; including two (2) years in a managed care organization/environment.
Preferred Experience: Prefer one year of supervisory experience
License/Certification: Must be a M.D. or D.O., with an unrestricted State of North Carolina medical license.
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must reside in North Carolina in order to be considered for remote status.
