The Platform Engineering team at Lime is responsible for enabling software engineers to build, test and deploy Lime products globally at scale through resilient, cost effective and secure infrastructure, and high-quality developer and data science tooling.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an evolving startup environment. You will be an in the moment problem solver with the ability to think about the short term and long term plan. You're energized about building and scaling and being part of a forward-thinking organization.  

What you'll do:
  • Identify, define, and solve strategically essential technical problems, including architecting and building highly scalable foundational platforms, leading new product initiatives, and revamping existing core application experiences.
  • Implement and manage security controls to ensure compliance with SOX and other relevant regulations
  • Mentor and lead other engineers at Lime. Identify and develop future leaders.
  • Support audits and due diligence processes related to infrastructure
  • Advise Lime’s leadership team on key technology adoption and process improvements.
  • Contribute to shaping the overall engineering culture at the company.

  • About you:
  • 7+ years of industry professional software development experience and a track record of building impactful products or systems.
  • Skilled at writing logical and maintainable code, and providing clear feedback in code reviews.
  • Owner’s mindset. You’re a self-starter and get things across the finish line.
  • Strong influencer. You motivate and empower your team to go above and beyond.
  • Technical proficiency to understand and contribute to the design and implementation of projects and ideas. 
  • Excellent communication and effective prioritization skills in working with competing priorities.

  • Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in a pre-IPO or public company environment is a plus
  • Operating Ruby on Rails in a cloud environment for 2+ years is a plus
  • The anticipated salary range for this position is CA$153,000 - CA$210,000. Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s location of residence, the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
