We are looking for a Junior Wordpress Frontend Developer to help build and maintain our websites. In this role, you’ll work closely with our design, marketing, and technical teams to ensure our websites are user-friendly and aligned with our business goals. Your tasks will include customizing Wordpress themes and plugins, ensuring smooth website performance, and assisting with ongoing site improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customize WordPress themes and plugins to achieve specific website functionalities tailored to business requirements.
  • Use Elementor Pro to develop custom widgets and templates that enhance website functionality and user experience.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and web services to extend website functionality.
  • Conduct performance tests, optimize page speed, and troubleshoot website issues to ensure optimal site performance.
  • Implement responsive design practices to optimize sites for mobile and ensure a consistent experience across all devices.
  • Work closely with design and marketing teams to maintain visual consistency and functionality across the website.
  • Utilize GitHub for version control and CD/CLI tools for streamlined deployment and development processes.
  • Implement SEO best practices, optimize on-page SEO, and ensure adherence to web development standards.
  • Ensure robust security measures are in place and up to date to protect websites from vulnerabilities.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to internal teams, update content, and perform regular website maintenance.
  • Stay updated on new trends, technologies, and web development tools to improve website performance and features continuously.
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in WordPress development or a similar role, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.

Technical skills:

  • Experience with WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Elementor Pro, Gutenberg, and ACF Pro.
  • Basic knowledge of API integration and GitHub version control.
  • Understanding of responsive design and SEO.
  • Basic design skills to translate designs into functional websites using tools like Figma or Photoshop.

Additional Skills (nice to have):

  • Knowledge of database management.
  • Familiarity with website security practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration, Unbounce, and WP Engine is a plus.
