Job Description​

The Opportunity:

We are hiring a full time supervisor for our team of Nurse Abstractors for our Cardiology Clinics.

The Shift:

This is a Monday through Friday day shift position

*This is a remote position with a requirement to live in the Kansas City metro. 

The Work:

Supervises Nurse Abstractors which includes aligning and coordinating teams, managing staff schedules, new-hire and on-going training, competency audits and PMP reviews.

This is a working supervisory position which includes the following job duties:

  • Reviews referrals for appropriateness and triages to appropriate subspecialist
  • Request records for new patients to ensure all appropriate documentation is available at the time of the visit.
  • Reviews scanned medical records and ensures that valuable information is accurate and present in all applicable locations in the EHR.
  • Identifies risk factors.
  • This role will be responsible for updating charts and consolidate records from various sources to prepare for patient visits.
  • As a nurse abstractor, you will identify conditions and treatment plans for physicians and address patient safety concerns with the care team.  
  • Pull in outside records into chart from CareEverywhere when available.
  • This position requires strong attention to detail and passion for improving patient care. 

  • Previous supervisor or manager experience preferred
