The Electrification Manager role is a critical position that will contribute to the solutions needed to manage the grid impacts of this energy transition. In this role, you will grow a high performing team and partner with our clients to support their goals. This position will be client facing and contribute to business development and strategic positioning of the Electrification organization. 

 

 

How you can make an impact:

  • Execute and lead projects for transportation and building electrification and technology implementation including electric vehicles (EVs), electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), electric heat pumps, electric water heaters, distributed generation, distributed energy storage, and demand response devices.
  • Develop, track, and manage budgets including financial and resource forecasting.
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating electrification and DER opportunities, economic environments, and sustainability requirements and develop strategic initiatives to deploy these opportunities.
  • Support business development activities including evaluating client opportunities, preparing work scopes, responding to requests for proposals, identifying strategic areas of focus, and preparing and conducting presentations.
  • Support proposal development and review of all Electrification pursuits including "go - no-go" decisions, win strategies, proposal staffing, development of pricing, contract terms and conditions, and risk-reviews.
  • Perform human resources functions including developing and executing resourcing strategies, personnel hiring, performance management, employee development, and succession planning.
  • Mentor team members and develop current and forecasted resource utilization plans, utilizing external and shared resources for unplanned short-term workload expansions.
  • Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
  • Lead the development and management of one or more programs, design and implement program strategies, develop and execute marketing and recruiting strategies, and perform resource planning and forecasting.
Qualifications:

Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

  • 6+ years of relevant technical and program implementation experience to include understanding program theory, design, delivery, successful execution, and evaluation of utility programs.
  • Degree in engineering, project management, or combination of relevant leadership experience.
  • Direct experience working with an electric utility is preferred.
  • Understanding of different EVs, EVSEs, charging network operators, Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), or Open Automated Demand Response (OpenADR) is preferred.
  • Direct experience with implementing EV fleets, EV infrastructure, EV charging networks, DR, or DER projects a plus.
  • Experience in a client facing and staff leadership role.
  • Leadership experience in program or project design and delivery.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a cross-disciplinary audience, both in writing and in presentation skills.
  • Proven history managing high performing technical staff.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities and growing consulting offerings.
  • Flexible with the ability to manage change.

Location: This position is open to Remote
