About The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting the lease in property management issues and for processing CAM & Tax Reconciliations and rent.
 

Workplace Arrangements: Remote. Please note this is a contract role ending March 28, 2025.

What You’ll be Doing:
  • Process of rent payments - Obtain necessary lease information, review, set up and process monthly rent, CAM, realty tax payments in WD and Tango. Advise stores of their charges. Maintain accurate databases.

  • Reconciliation of CAM and Taxes - Audit all occupancy reconciliations. Track and follow up with landlords on all outstanding year end reconciliations. Audit where applicable to ensure that we are accurately charged for only what we’re required to pay. Adjust rent payments/accruals as needed and communicate to stores.

  • Realty Taxes assessment review and appeals. Work with third party vendor to ensure our stores are fairly assessed and where applicable submit appeals for reduction in assessment/realty taxes.

  • Budget Management -Evaluate all upcoming payments such as lease renewal bumps, etc. and plan budgets and payments/accruals accordingly. Evaluate trends in reconciliations to plan/budget for annual increase for stores in CAM and Taxes and accrue accordingly.

  • Lease Abstraction Data - Ensure all lease obligations are recorded and shared among various stakeholders, e.g. stores, Facilities, Real Estate, to track lease dates, set up relevant contracts, monitor the landlord’s obligations. Maintain and update accurate databases.

  • Property Administration - Communicate and liaise between the landlord and stores for all property management issues and disputes regarding non-compliance of the landlord’s obligations such as leaking roofs, parking lot repairs, etc.
     

What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelors in Finance, Accounting or Law.

  • 5 years experience in lease accounting and lease administration.

  • Ability to negotiate and resolve disputes with landlords. Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines at all times.

  • Bilingual in English and French preferred.
