Sunbrella is seeking a Technical Project Manager to play a key role in expanding our DTC e-commerce offerings by joining our team. We are looking for a passionate individual who is excited to make an impact on a small and growing e-commerce team as part of a larger digital transformation for a 140-year-old market-leading enterprise.
We’re seeking a technical leader with development experience that can maintain and improve our website. You’ll partner with our development agency to deliver new features and troubleshoot site problems when necessary. You’ll also liaise with internal IT to address API connections with our order management systems. This position requires a solid understanding of Adobe Commerce/Magento 2, the software development lifecycle, project management, and troubleshooting.
With technical expertise concentrated in Adobe Commerce, you will interpret the business requirements and use cases to produce quality technical implementations. This is a cross functional role where you will work closely with the Web team, Marketing, Design, Sales, Accounting, Internal IT, and agencies executing Development and SEO to deliver the best e-commerce experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:
- Work with marketing and business units to gather requirements and lead development sprints to implement new front-end features and back-end functions
- Lead agency developers to build a modern, scalable, sleek DTC experience on the Adobe Commerce Enterprise Cloud e-commerce platform
- Manage, prioritize, and lead sprints with our development agency
- Review agency code/deliverables, conduct UAT to verify quality, and contribute code as necessary to expedite fixes
- Collaborate with SEO agency to implement technical SEO recommendations, including updates to category structure and managing redirects
- Facilitate Magento Upgrades and conduct UAT to verify forward compatibility of prior customizations
- Manage our product feeds to ensure compliance with Google and Bing
- Manage periodic data compliance audits
- Stay on top of and implement the latest e-commerce best practices and trends
Education and Experience:
- 4-Year degree in Computer science or equivalent industry experience
- 10+ years of enterprise e-commerce experience with a focus on Magento/Adobe
- Solid experience as a member of agile teams collaborating with other developers, product managers, and designers
- Proven track-record of launching and operating successful Adobe Enterprise Cloud. PWA implementations are a plus
- Understanding of PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working with project management and documentation software, such as Jira, Asana, Trello, etc.
- Experience with version control (Such as git)
- Experience with Adobe Commerce deployment best practices and monitoring
- Experience with SEO best-practices and interacting with SEO agencies
- Experience with complex data sets at scale
- Strong problem-solving skills and time management skills
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience integrating OMS and/or ERP systems with Magento
- Deep understanding of Google Analytics
- Adobe Commerce certified
- Experience with progressive e-commerce tech stacks
- Experience with headless e-commerce setups and/or PWAs
- Experience defining and creating technical documentation
- Knowledge of content management systems
