We are seeking a dynamic leader who is enthusiastic about inspiring, motivating and developing team members at the largest distribution center in McKesson Medical-Surgical network with a footprint of 575k sf distribution center.
This position will be responsible for leading a team of six (6) leaders as well as seventy-two (72) indirect team members whose goal is to service our customer’s timely and efficiently.

Our warehouse team combined currently consists of 265+ team members and 120+ delivery professionals on our transportation team.
DC Details:
This DC features state of the art automation to include automated induction, I-Pack cartonization, workflow management, pick to light, automated storage retrieval systems (OPEX) and conveyor throughout. This is a fully climate-controlled warehouse and will include a generator backup. We stock 38k + SKU’s and are a “hubbing” DC for the southeast region. We provide healthcare services for all customer segments, physician offices, surgery centers, post-acute care, and home care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a large team over multiple shifts, in a 24/7 operation.
- Automation and management system background preferred.
- Experience with performance metrics and process improvements.
- Strong financial and data acumen: ability to analyze and use data to drive results.
- Create employee engagement while building working relationships internally and externally.
- Lead, train, and develop supervisors and associate through coaching, mentoring and effective communication.
- Ability to highly motivate others and create a positive, enthusiastic, organized, and clean work environment with the utmost dedication to the team and customers.
- Ability to manage changing priorities while using good judgement through stressful situations.
- Effective communication, critical thinking, interpersonal and organization skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and use of good judgement through stressful situations.
- Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that improve customer care, reduces cost, improves service, capacity, and productivity.
- Experience with Labor Management System preferred.
- Partner with other groups and peers on process improvement opportunities that will help improve the customer experience and/or reduce support volume.
- Manage the work activities of direct reports to ensure the highest productivity. Identify and develop key performance standards and metrics to drive desired culture and work to ensure their achievement.
Minimum Requirements:
- 6+ year experience in a distribution center/operational and managerial experience
- 4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience
- Must be able to carry and operate a laptop.
- Must be willing to work various hours in a 24/5 operational warehouse.
Required Skills:
- Deep understanding of how all departments within a distribution center function and their interdependencies
- Experience with automation and workflow management systems (JD Edwards)
- Passion and commitment to continuous improvement with demonstrated success in leading and influencing team members.
- Must be a positive change leader with strong people skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to see the “big picture.”
- Experience with Labor Management System
- Advanced computer skills including typical office suite programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication, including presentation skills.

Our Base Pay Range for this position
$79,100 - $131,900
