Who You Are
As a Senior Automation QA Engineer (mobile), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Android, iOS, and Web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, to design, build, and integrate automated test cases in our CI/CD pipelines. Your expertise in Appium, PyCharm, and mobile application testing will help us cut manual test time and deliver exceptional products to our users.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Appium and PyCharm for Android and iOS applications.
Identify and document defects, issues, and enhancements using a bug-tracking system.
Participate in code reviews and provide valuable feedback to improve code quality.
Mentor other QA engineers with their automation contributions.
Work closely with the development team to ensure test coverage and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct regression testing to validate the stability and performance of applications.
Monitor and analyze test results to identify trends and patterns, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in automation testing and mobile application development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
4+ years of professional experience in automation testing
Strong experience in testing Android and iOS applications using Appium
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python
Solid understanding of testing methodologies, best practices, and tools
Experience with PyCharm or similar IDEs for test automation
Knowledge of mobile application development and deployment processes
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with other automation testing frameworks and tools
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Knowledge of agile development methodologies
Understanding of cloud-based testing platforms and services
Strong knowledge of mobile app design guidelines and usability standards
