Legal Operations

OpenLoop is looking for a Legal Operations to join our team Remotely or at our HQ in Des Moines, IA. This role will be a member of the Legal Team, working cross functionally amongst departments and collaborating closely with the General Counsel. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contracts management software implementation and post implementation management, as well as a strong understanding of legal processes and operations. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our legal department’s efficiency and effectiveness by leveraging technology and best practices in contracts management.

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of contracts management software. Ensure all contracts are accurately entered, tracked, and managed throughout their lifecycle.
• Develop and implement streamlined procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Work closely with legal, procurement, and business teams to ensure alignment and effective communication regarding contracts and legal operations.
• Provide training and ongoing support to team members on the use of contracts management software and legal processes. Serve as the primary point of contact for software-related inquiries.
• Generate and analyze reports on contract performance, compliance, and other key metrics. Present findings to stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure that all contracts adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Partner with the General Counsel to assist in tracking financial reports, including budget forecasts, legal expenditures, and cost analysis, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of in house legal operations experience, with ideally a focus on contracts management software implementation and management.
• Proficient in contracts management tools (e.g., CMS software) and legal technology solutions is strongly desired or tech savvy.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of contract law and legal compliance requirements.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
