Become part of a highly technically skilled team, in charge to the development of the Radar Software Development Kit on all NXP supported platforms. The Radar SDK ensures Radar Front End data acquisition and signal processing using the full capabilities of the NXP Radar platforms. 

Responsibilities:

  • Key leader and decision maker for Product SW for Automotive Embedded Systems - Radar Systems
  • Responsible for setting and meeting budget + resource management targets for SW development
  • Create and maintain System, Middleware and Application level SW based on requirements provided by the Product Line
  • Manage optimum utilization of resources, re-balance across multiple programs based on business priority, meet budget.
  • Engage with relevant product line owners for SW delivery.
  • Track/Monitor and if needed manage escapes/program changes/escalations.
  • Represent Radar Technology development domain into AES SW Product MT
  • Constantly benchmark SW development function with competition (internal and external) to ensure incorporation of best practices into the engineering team
  • Drive team to meet required quality, TTM, efficiency goals
  • Be the champion of SW engineering best practices across the BL including AGILE etc.
  • People management, hiring, attrition management, skill development, career development etc. for the SW Development organization which will have > 100 FTE and a large number of contractors
  • Direct influence on SW development budget, program delivery, SW strategy, Opex, Capex

Profile:

Must Have:

  • Technical manager who can build & lead a team of strong software engineers in automotive products in the radar domain
  • Solid experience in rapidly hiring, integrating and ramping global SW teams
  • Have 20+ years’ experience in leading global teams developing embedded products with focus on systems and application software development
  • Proven experience delivering fully integrated production software for automotive
  • At least 10 years’ experience in managing complex long duration technical projects with leadership to technical experts and adequate people management skills.
  • Experienced in change management, SW development processes like SW Build, Test and Release management
  • Basic knowledge of all areas of IC development
  • Good understanding of FUSA and ASPICE.
  • Directing, Coaching and motivating senior team members.
  • Skills in negotiations, influencing and dealing with conflicting interests.
  • Proven record in stepping in (and fast development) in new areas, eager to learn, develop, adopt and implement new methods.
  • Strong communicator to management stake holders at the high level of abstraction and must be on eye level with communication to SW/HW architects.
  • You have good communication skills and experience in presenting yourself and your team, both orally and in writing in English
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Experience with multi-disciplinary / multi-sites located in Germany, Netherlands, Romania, France, Vietnam and India
  • Experience in Software Development for Automotive domain
  • Experience in RF domain is highly preferred
  • Knowledge in radar domain and test software development is preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Embedded Systems
  • Good understanding and experience of Project Management methodologies like PMP, Agile
  • Experience in System Engineering in a embedded environment
  • Leadership skills to inspire and motivate a high performing team
  • Experience in ramping up teams in new and unfamiliar domains
  • Experience in working with Product management and Marketing to define/clarify the customer requirements and expectations.

Contract: This is a fulltime position with a permanent contract
